"Hi,
Just a short note to say thanks for a literally blistering day yesterday!
Tim was absolutely great - an inspiring instructor with the patience for an old'un like me and the encouragement to have my 11 year old flying aeros by the end of the day.
We will be back!
Just have to sort out next 1/2 term dates and my flights back into UK and will get back to you with a booking."
Kind regards,

"Paul & Mandy,
I'd like to say thanks to you both (and the rest of your team) for a fantastic day out on Saturday. Though the weather did it's best to dampen spirits I think all of us had a thoroughly enjoyable time. One lasting memory will be 18 or so people hanging on to a metal framed tent during a lightening storm!
Both Brian and Jon who also attended had a good day. Jon in particular was thrilled to finally fly a turbine model, he's been on about them for ages.
All of us were impressed with the quality of the instructors. They were very good a judging ability and explained the aircraft characteristics well.
Finally, thanks must go to Mandy for the food and amazing tolerance of such a 'gaggle' of aeromodellers (suppose you're used to it by now), and you Paul, for working tirelessly to ensure we all had a great day out. Not all people would have flown us through till after 7pm due to the weather and this simply demonstrated how important your customers are to you.
I hope to return again soon, would like to do my 'B' if that's OK.
Again, thanks for a super day.

"Hi Paul and Mandy,
Just a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed the recent Jet experience day, it was put together so well I really can't think of any way that you could improve on it. The tuition, the flying, the food, the company, the weather - all excellent - A super day. We later went on to the pub which you recommended and had a great evening there too. Hope to see you at the Woodspring show,
Thanks again Regards Malc Adnett.
P.S. The photos and video on the aerial-aspects site are a great memento."

"Paul, just a very brief note to thank you, Mandy and all of the other hard-working members of your team for such an incredible 'jet experience day' last Saturday. The warm welcome and hospitality; the friendly, relaxed atmosphere; the highly-skilled team and the superbly maintained aircraft; all combine to make the whole day both highly informative and very enjoyable. It was evident that a lot of hard work had gone into organising this event and it's worth every penny.
It's a great concept, professionally executed and should be compulsory for anyone who is even thinking of flying jets!"

"Dear Paul,
I would just like to say thank you and your excellent team for a great day.
From the arrival to departure everything had been organised perfectly, even the weather! The day was not only very informative, the flying sessions were well managed and the time seemed to fly past.(pardon the pun!) It was good to mix with a group of fellow enthusiasts with lots of shared and useful tips along the way.
The food was delicious and plentiful and Mandy and Gemma could not have been more helpful throughout the day to make sure everything was to our liking.
All I can add is WELL DONE, a really enjoyable day, and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of getting into the jet arena."
Kind regards,
Simon

"Dear Paul and Mandy,
Just a short note to thank you for the fabulous time I had at your recent Jet Experience Day. The weather was great and the hospitality could not have been better. Mandy and Co. made us all feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was explained with care and patience and the actual jet flying was awesome. It is something most of us can only dream about. I could not fault the day in any way. Very well done and best wishes for the future."

"I would like to thank and congratulate you on an excellent day. Both James and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
The mix of technical information, explanation of what 'all those bits' in the plane do and then the flying was just right.
The organisation and communication prior to the day was excellent, as it was on the day. The food (particularly those home-baked cakes) was very good, and we found everyone to be friendly, welcoming and encouraging.
That's the good news - the bad news is that we are no longer afraid of the jet technology, so it could get expensive!
Thanks again for a tremendous day, and hope to see you again in the future."

"Just a note to say thanks once again for a super day on Tuesday. I learned more about setting up R/C aircraft properly in one day than I have in +20 years of flying, and seeing my Astro Hog fly so beautifully was very special.
I'd love to come back sometime and do another session.
Best wishes for the continued success of the business."

"I have been interested in Jets from being a kid, I'm now a 50 year old kid and the interest has never died. I have flown full size (Jet Provost) and have built a Wren MW54 for that sound and smell but really wanted to get airborne. I have as Paul knows flown models for years but always felt intimidated by the Jet lads. I watch in awe as these seemingly expert pilots do flights as if the aircraft is on rails, so fast, so precise but I could never do that my flying skills aren't up to it…………. Or could I?
Enter Paul Heckles School of Flying
Quick email to Paul, cheque in the post, weather, drinks and aircraft organised and here I am on the edge of the runway, a cool dude in shades stood at the side of me, the baby boomerang sat on the strip and were off. My legs are like jelly and when the emotive words ‘you have control' my heart is really in turbo mode. I attempt the first turn and much to my complete and utter amazement this aircraft did a beautiful, stable turn as if it was on rails, pure luck, next turn comes up, just the same. Tuition and tips freely flowing from Paul, it becomes easier and easier to fly this model. Fly it slow, fly it very slow, now fast nor problem. 8 minutes up time to land while Stuart has a go, Stuart commented I'd flown like an expert, he was very concerned about the act he had to follow. Same thing for Stuart who was fairly new to model flying having just passed his BMFA ‘A' certificate. ‘You have control', his legs were shaking but he was flying a jet, he too had no problems in making the flight look as if it was done by an expert. The day continued with lots of tea, coffee and flying, we progressed to take off's, landings, loops and roll's all in all a fantastic day.
The message I would like to give to any potential Jet Flyers is simply, BEFORE you attempt to go it alone have a session with Paul, his knowledge is second to non, he put's you at ease and the experience is worth more than any books, video's or pit lane ‘experts' could ever give. Mandy's freshly baked rock cakes are also just right for the occasion.
Once again guys – Thanks"

"Just a few lines to let you both know how much I enjoyed the Jet Experience Day last Friday. You both made me very welcome and the bacon baps at breakfast went down a treat. Dick's ground school was most helpful and his cheerful approach to the lecture made it interesting and easy to listen to.
With regard to the Jet flying Paul immediately made me feel at ease ( although inside my nerves were just under control ) however there was no need to have worried as all went well and once the first flight was over, I was eager to have more.
The Baby Boomerangs and gas turbines all performed well being ably supported by the ground crew who kept the models fuelled and charged all day.
A very professional approach to a model flying school, combined with a friendly atmosphere.
As you can tell I was most impressed with what you are doing and left feeling very satisfied in the knowledge of having truly achieved some Jet Experience.
Keep up the good work and wish you well for future Jet Experience Day's"

"The Jet Experience Day is my most enjoyable flying day to-date. Informative and informal, I really felt comfortable flying jets for the first time. I believe flying the Boomerang within the Jet Experience format is well within the range of any competent solo flyer (no worries, there are buddy boxes!). If you fancy trying jets out you should go. If you are seriously considering buying a jet, this will make your mind up! Recommended."

"Just a brief thank you note for your excellent one on one tuition that I had with you this Saturday. I came away at the end of the day brimming with confidence and my head buzzing with newly aquired knowledge and techniques. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending your training facilities and remarkable abilities to anyone.
To add icing to the cake, our Club hosted an examiner's workshop the very next day (Sunday), and I'm pleased to say that I passed my "A" certificate at the first attempt, in front of a whole gaggle of examiners! Everyone remarked on my new found confidence and abilities.
Once again Paul, thank you very much indeed and I will see you shortly before I attempt my "B" certificate!!"

"Just a quick note to say Thanks for this morning. I learnt a great deal including "When all else fails...ask an expert!" It took you literally minutes to do something that took me hours (head assembly!!)
I really had a good time and although we never got to cover the Tx setup - what I learnt about the "mechanical" side (and tips on getting the flap damper's in etc.) especially where the instruction book was not so clear made up for that! I have started to neaten up the wiring already, so it will be 100% complete the next time I come for "flight" training. It was really good getting to see my heli fly around even if it was only for a few minutes."

"The Jet Day with Paul Heckles School of Flying is the only way that someone like myself, with fairly limited flying experience (and modelling budget!), can get hands-on these sorts of machines. Paul and his colleagues de-mystify the whole subject and prove that with the right instruction the principles are the same as for any other sort of aircraft. But the main thing is that it's great fun and you're extremely well looked after by Paul, Mandy et al for the whole day. Plenty flying and very good value. Now how can I get the money for my own Turbine Toy?." Bruce Wealleans

"Just a quick note to thank you both so much, for such a wonderful day yesterday. As I said at the de-brief, the format was spot on and Dicks input was pitched just right, not too technical and sprinkled with anecdotal experiences. I personnally gained a great deal from the day, it took away the fears all new jet jockeys have, about how to cope with so much investment flying around!
As an instructor, Geoff was perfect, willing to allow you to do what you felt comfortable with, but also pushing you that little bit further. Please pass on my grateful thanks to him, for such a memorable day.
We musn't forget Mandy's input either. Her work behind the scenes made a vast contribution to the events success and it will not be forgotten. After my experiences, I will certainly be passing on my encouragement to all the other potential jet pilots I know, to come visit you and enjoy the day for themselves. "

"Just wanted to say thank you for a great day on Saturday, I really enjoyed the flying and the tuition from Paul. I feel as though I learnt a lot form the day and am happy to report that I went to my local club this evening and did three take offs and landings supervised but without a buddy lead."

"I really enjoyed my training sessions. Paul has a rare ability to train in manner that is both relaxed and professional. The possibility to tailor the content of each lesson to suit my specific needs was greatly appreciated and I was surprised at just how much progress I was able to make during each session. I would not hesitate to recommend the Paul Heckles School of Flying to anyone who is considering using tuition to help develop and improve their flying skills."

"Thanks for all your help with flying the heli, i had a great day learning to sort out my circuits, appraoches and even for the first time nose in with landings. You really helped my confidence to fly and try new things.
I would highly recomend spending a day as i did with Paul as it is great value for the money spent."

"Just a note to thank you for yesterday, although a bit nervous when on the controls it felt really good to really fly something at last. The icing on the cake was to see you throwing my Tutor around, brilliant! The only problem was that when I got back and was telling my son about it he said 'why didn't you video it (the Tutor) then we could all have seen?'...next time perhaps!
Anyway thanks again for excellent training. I particularly appreciated the constant flow of comment and advice which made me feel confident that I wouldn't get into too much trouble, and also explained what was happening and why."

"I just want to say a big thankyou to paul for everything he has taught me, not only has he taught me how to fly without crashing, he has given me the confidence to do things i never thought i would be doing at such an early stage. Not only is paul a fantastic heli pilot he's a fantastic teacher.
Anyone thats considering flying rc models should without a doubt go and spend a day or so with paul, you will learn so much! thanks for everything mate! I hope to see you soon when i start 3D flying! GOOD LUCK!"

"Having tried to start to learn to fly my Raptor 30 with training undercarriage and now experienced training on a 'buddy' system with Paul, I cannot see any reason why anyone should attempt to learn to fly 'solo'. As all the "How to fly your model helicopter" books state, all flights start and end with the hover, with the occasional exception! With the 'buddy' system the only control the you initially have to concentrate on is left to right, trying to maintain a stable position. Paul has all the other controls.
Then it's just forward and backward control. With this system, confidence grows at an sensible pace. I have spoken to a friend who has probably spent more on crash kits than it would have cost him to have training with Paul to reach 3D Master level! One secret tip that doesn't come naturally and I've not seen in any book and it sounds daft to have to say it, but Paul said right at the start, "breathe, blink and relax!" I've never known all three to be so hard!
Our first day of training was a day when flying would be difficult due to the wind. I was doubtful that training would start and Paul did say that we were on the upper limit, but by the end of the day, even in that stiff breeze Tom & I had a reasonably steady hover. (Tom even had tail rotor control by this
time!) The flying site is excellent with no major obstacles to disturb the wind flow too much!"

"Thanks for the flying yesterday. As usual I feel that I have benefited greatly from your expert help - it really does make a huge difference having somebody there to help, and catch the helicopter when it all goes wrong.
I think that the new site is very good. certainly easy to fly at, and loads of space".

"The training that I received from Paul was extremely thorough, but most importantly, enjoyable. His ability to interpret exactly what you are doing, right or wrong is impressive and the resultant flow of supportive, helpful, and friendly input inspires confidence even when you've just made a mess of something. All in all, a quality experience which I look forward to repeating."
